Prof. Suresh is passionate about teaching, and to fulfil this passion, he has developed and improved on three teaching methods: Learn through Problem Formulation , Active Learning and Learn through Teaching . This has resulted in consistently high teaching evaluations (“I wish that every department prof was a Suresh” – ME 331 student, 2015), a Pi Tau Sigma teaching award, a University Housing Honorary Lecturer Award, and LEED Scholar Engineering Professor Award.
Since 2003, Prof. Suresh has taught the following courses:
- ME 232, Geometric Modeling for Engineering Applications
- ME 306, Mechanics of Materials
- ME 331, Geometric Modeling for Engineering Applications
- ME 342, Design of Machine Elements
- ME 448, Mechanical Systems Analysis
- ME 601 Computer-Aided Design and Analysis of Mechanical Systems
- ME 748, Optimum Design of Mechanical Elements and Systems
- ME 964, Advanced Finite Element Techniques
